Mappa cartography, founded in Tbilisi in 2024, is the first company in the region dedicated to sourcing and purchasing antique European maps, books, and engravings.

We search worldwide for historical publications in their original form and make them available to interested audiences in Georgia, Azerbaijan, and Armenia.

Our collection features unique works from the 15th to 19th centuries, many of which form part of Mappa cartography's gold fund and are exclusively available in our collection in Georgia.

At Mappa cartography, our mission is to make ancient maps, books, and engravings fully accessible to the public. To achieve this, we collaborate with museums, archives, libraries, private companies, and collectors seeking historically significant exhibits in the form of antique maps, books, and engravings.

The company features an exhibition space, a gallery, where a significant portion of our collection is displayed. Guests have the opportunity to explore, learn about, and purchase original pieces of interest.

A large part of our collection is also available on our website, www.mappa.ge, where anyone can access detailed information, browse, and purchase exhibits of their choice.

Mappa cartography is also engaged in a publishing activity, focusing on reproducing unique maps, books, and engravings in various formats and making them accessible to the public. The company has several exciting projects planned for the future in this direction.

A key aspect of the company’s work is educational programming, including partnerships with schools and universities. Additionally, we aim to organize and provide access to a variety of non-formal educational courses.
