An early edition of a map by German cosmographer Sebastian Münster which was printed in Basel.
The map depicts Colchis, Iberia, Albania, and Armenia, with the countries between the Black and Caspian Seas separated by mountain ranges. Notably, in the Caucasus Mountains above Albania, two gates are denoted: Darial and Derbend.
