Tbilisi
A miniature Amsterdam edition of Jean Chardin’s engraving depicting his travels to Tbilisi. This sketch from Chardin's journey is considered the oldest surviving engraving of Tbilisi, created in 1673 during his voyage.
In the upper right corner of the sketch/engraving, the city’s important civilian and religious buildings and premises are denoted.
The painting is most likely attributed to the French artist Guillaume Grelot.
